The Bush Blog! Sad day for Bloggers.

As seen at Simon Willison: There goes the neighbourhood we have a newcomer to the blogscene, the Bush/Cheney Blog. Groan!

I rushed over to blogshares to see if I could cash in on some shares, but they are all already taken!

The only outgoing link was to a blog called Bush Sucks, which turns out to be www.georgewbush.com. I guess he’ll have to claim ownership of the blog and link to blogshares to change that.

BotSpotters Reference

Edith Frost - Spot the bot

Great reference for botspotting… so far I haven’t met any nasties. WAIT!!! Stop the presses — a NASTY!!!

NPBot_(http://www.nameprotect.com/botinfo.html)

taken from their site: As a Digital Brand Asset Management company, NameProtect engages in crawling activity in search of a wide range of brand and other intellectual property violations that may be of interest to our clients.

I wonder if the above constitutes an IP violation… I guess we’ll soon find out :P
Anyway, I have a few to add to the list:

MT Plugins

Anyone want to give me a quick rundown on how to setup Movable Type plugins? I want to add functionality, but have way too little time to rummage through documentation, I’m proficient at perl, so it shouldn’t be a problem, just need a quick “1-2-3″ so I can see if it’s worth getting into.

I’d like a plugin that shows the categories and how many posts are in each category on the main page. I’d also like the categories, to just be indexes rather then including the whole entry.

Thanks

“No, No, Annie watch beautiful colors”

So I come into the room and find 2-year-old Annie sitting at my computer apparantly patiently waiting for something to happen. Thinking that she wanted to watch a cartoon or something, I flipped off the screensaver and asked her what she wanted to do.

She looked at me and said “No, no, Annie watch beautiful colors”. It took me a couple seconds to realize that she was just enjoying the wonderful solar winds screensaver.

It’s great when you can put hyperlinks into your “cute-kid” posts, isn’t it ;)
