Best to pack her away somewhere where she won't be tempted to "come to the rescue". Send Mom away and take a long weekend with your kid, they will appreciate the Daddy attention, and as long as Mom is out of their thoughts, it shouldn't be too bad. Our girls have been VERY easy, but I heard stories of kids who are more difficult. Anyway, easy or difficult, usually they get over it in a few days. Just have loads of water around, and whatever you do DON'T get them on to a bottle. That's the second worse thing you can do... or possibly even the absolute worst thing.
