Easy Currency Converter in Mozilla or Firebird
XE.com - Universal Currency Converter Results
The reason that I was interested in xe.com was because I needed a shortcut to currency conversion. I wanted to use Mozilla’s Named Bookmarks feature.
Following are the steps I used:
- Made a bookmark to the link above in one of my bookmark folders.
- Went to Manage bookmarks and Viewed the properties of my new bookmark.
- In the “Location” field changed “Amount=100″ to “Amount=%s”
- In the “Keyword” field inserted “p2e”.
And it’s done!
Now when I want to find out how many Euros 135 Pounds makes, I go Ctrl-L (if I’m not already in th e location bar), then “p2e 135″ and Enter.

Good work! I’ve added it to mine along with one for US dollars using the same trick. Kudos for figuring out a convenient solution!

Hey, I had an idea, it would be cool to set up an archive of good shortcuts…
If you come up with any good ones, then post them and I’ll start up an archive.
