Finally watched Matrix Revolutions

Matrix Revolutions, The (2003)

But too tired to blog about it… first job is to scour the other reviews to see what they all say. Some interesting stuff out there, ideas about what all is going on…

  • I can’t wait for them to do a new DVD set of the series.

But, with the commentaries, rather than just concentrating on the final screened version of the narrative, they should do alternative commentaries to cover all the clues and hints attributed to the various theories that have been hypothesised over the last year or so.

Different commentaries for different conclusions - I’d like that. But I’m sure they won’t.

Personally, I loved the film, not only cinematically, but in that it didn’t scrawl all over the blank canvas that Reloaded had supplied to paint one’s own picture of what’s truly going on. But maybe I’m a bit sad like that.

  • Yeh, I have to agree. By the end of the second one I was very concerned that they would muck up the third one continueing on the same track that the Reloaded left you.

It worked pretty well, if you ask me. And there is still lots of loose ends which are left to your own imagination to tie up.

I’d like to get the boxed set, but giving too much commentary about what was going on inside the directors heads would take away from the magic. Best to leave it for discussion at the pub or around the table.
