A Day in Paradise

After about a week of psyching Annie up, I finally took her down to Whitley’s shopping mall (which I can’t believe does not have a web site) to see Santa in his grotto. It’s a friend of ours doing Santa, and he “warned” us that little kids often get scared of the grotto (which is a bit dark), but Annie did considerably well. She was quite shy at first but then warmed up for the pictures (although she refused to smile).

We then supported globalization (ate in McDonalds), did some Christmas shopping, went to High Street Kensington, did some more shopping, went to another McDonalds, and then took the long trip home.

She enjoyed herself, came home and told Mommy that she saw the “Christmas Man”. I don’t know where she got that from, but it was cute.

Over the last few months Annie and I have been working on a nativity scene, Mom got the figurines and it was up to us to make the stable and do the decorating. We did a mahvelous job. Will post pictures when we’re done
