Macworld UK - Google worm attack confirmed

In about an hour and a half last night I got over 150 of these emails. Some of them were better than others… they would be funny if you didn’t think of the poor people who actually fell for it and opened the email.

They actaully have proper English which makes them almost believeable.

The full email message follows (email adderss obscured for obvious reasons). Included was a file called wormus.com.zip.

Dear user aaron@wxoxrxmxuxs.com,

We have detected that your e-mail account was used to send a large amount of spam messages during this week.
Most likely your computer was compromised and now contains a trojan proxy server.

Please follow our instructions in order to keep your computer safe.
