NutsMail — pretty Squirrelmail

NutsMail.com Webmail

An old buddy of mine has hacked up some templates for squirrelmail, and is offering a fully loaded squirrelmail bundle from his site.

It looks like it’s focused at people who are too ignorant/lazy to do the work themselves. There are several different options, support is included with each package.

For the cheap price of $9.95 he’s offering the snazzy @nutsmail.com email addresses!!! Then again, for the even cheaper price of $0.00 I’m offering invitations to gmail.

I have 4 left, grab them quick before I raise the price ;)

I’m neither lazy nor ignorant… I just don’t have the time to create a skin for squirrelmail… I paid for and downloaded nutsmail…

    What a joke!

Here is my experience with nutsmail.
    1) The installation instructions are completely wrong.
I futzed around with it for about an hour to get it working.

    2) Support doesn’t respond in a timely manner (It’s been 48 hours since I sent an email)

    3) They say things like download the latest version from our member area. But, there is no place to actually get the download anywhere on their site.

    4) They had some kind of problem with their “authentication” software and it stopped my webmail services from working. (This is not an exageration, when users log into your webmail app the login page checks with nutsmail.com to see if it is “OK” for your domain to use the software.)

My experience with nutsmail.com has been the biggest joke I have ever had played on me.

$29 to have some eyecandy on your webmail app is not worth the headache..

I don’t recommend nutsmail at all!

Let me add to that last… I was probably unfare on that …

He has responded to me… with the correct solutions..

So in all this… I’m the impatient bad guy here..

Daniel Miller (nutsmail.com) is a stand up guy. From what I’m seeing…

  • These pre-made templates are a time saver and worth spending the extra bucks. I am using one of the templates and woud recommend. Installation was easy but then again I had already installed squirrelmail before so that was easy to customize.

  • I’ve had the same problem. I paid nutsmail to install the software and about ever 2 to 3 days they email me and say the server is misconfigured. I just filed a dispute with American Express.. Stay AWAY from NUTsmail… 30 days later and no skins installed

I agree Nutsmail are a poor company… I have paid for server installation, and a template (funnily the server installation cost $1 less than the actual product! - It’s a complete JOKE!) - I had to buy this because their setup instructions are designed for Linux Experts, I mean I am pretty good… but I couldn’t manage to attempt this!!

Its been around 37 hours now since I paid and emailed them 3 times… but no reply as of yet!! (Sighs!)

I paid for the download and the install. The downlaod is automatic so I received it right away. I wish I could say the same for the install. It has been 5 days since i made my purchase and have yet to hear from the folks at Nutsmail. I have even opened a trouble ticket at their website; 72 hours later, still no response. I advise anyone who is considering paying to have Nutsmail, don’t do it. It is a waist of time and money since they won’t even respond to my emails. I plan on opening a dispute with 2checkout.

  • Wish I’d ran across this before paying for their package. I don’t have time or ability to do my own skin and the Nutsmail packages definitely are a far cry better than what SquirrelMail comes with. But the support is totally non-existant. I paid for the install which was promised in 48 hours. 72 hours later, and there has been no response, and no install done. I’ll give it a try myself but I’m pretty disgusted by such poor support and don’t expect much help if I have questions.
