Gouranga

UrbanDictionary.com/gouranga

Today I got a piece of spam that reads:

Call out Gouranga be happy!!!
Gouranga Gouranga Gouranga ….
That which brings the highest happiness!!

I didn’t think about it until on IRC a friend of mine announced that he got the same peice of spam and furnished me with the link to the following description.

Gouranga

A word that appears on moterway bridges in north west UK. It’s only purpose to annoy drivers who are left with a nagging curiosity for the rest of their day until the next day when it ceases to become important ever again.

Update: This link explains the term. Short explanation: Gouranga is Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Woohoo! Hare Krishna spam…

Have you guys ever checked out the Word of God? NIV New Testament, John 1 The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it….. 14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.”…..Check it out!

  48. Krishnagirl108 Says:

Gouranga is another name of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who is the most recent incarnation of the Lord. It means “golden”. By saying this name even once, you free yourself from millions of lifetimes of karmic reactions. In other words, it is EXTREMELY good luck to say this! As many times as possible! All the time! All bona fide names of the Lord have this potency though. Krishna, Allah, Jehova, etc. Pick one and start chanting! You will see the benefits quickly!
