Stan “Tookie” Williams to be Executed
The U.S. Supreme Court, on October 11, 2005, ruled against Tookie on his final appeal and set his execution date for December 13. Thus they disregarded 9 of the 24 Ninth Circuit Court judges’ assertion that the District Attorney at Tookie’s trial employed “reprehensible and unconstitutional” racist tactics, using animal-in-a-jungle metaphors to refer to Tookie and to the South Central environment in which he lived. This landmark ruling means that minorities can now legally be rejected from juries based on race. This is now the law of the land.

my brother’s a blood and in prison for a crime he didn’t commit and has to lose 13 years of his life and his 3 children. what is this world coming too?
It’s kind of hard to say, what should, and should not take place in a case like this. I am black, and I have had trouble with the law also. But I guess when considering the Death Penalty in a case like this. Do we pass judgement on a man responsible as a whole for developing an illegal street organization, which flooded our communities across the nation with guns, crime, and death. Although people did make their own choices, but it was the kinds of persuasion and peer presures put out there by gang leaders that initiated crime patterns in the hearts of our youth among other things. I mean, can you possibly imagine the thousands of young black male Crips & Blood Brothers whom died at the hands of each other’s ignorance, which was fueled by people like Tookie Williams during his participation? There were countless destroyed lives, countless weeping mothers, countless dreams being sabotaged by this kind of what color you wear ignorance that spread through black communities like a virus. Then you have to consider this nation’s civil and human rights record where blacks are concerned. We as black people are a culture, whom experienced rape, and murder cast upon us by the millions, and who set the stage, and planted the seed for people like Tookie Williams to be encouraged to spread the kinds of ignorance that he did.
I say this, because I believe the Death Penalty has an uneven hand in this country due to racism, Tookie Williams should not be executed. I mean, when speaking of the sins against men, who more deserves it, than a race of people, whom built their fortunes on, and upon the backs of slave blood. Still, that’s God’s call to judge them, not ours. In the case of Tookie Williams, when considering all the Mothers whom visited the funerals of their sons, and daughters by the thousands as a result of Crip & Blood related gang violence, what makes Tookie Williams any better than the people whom died at the hands of his spreaded doctrine. Therefore, as a 5 time convicted felon, I say although I do not believe it is just to take a man’s life, and certainly not just for the people whom are executing the sentence to render the sentence, due to their own past sins. Tookie Williams, should be paid the works of his own hands, and die for the lives he has cost our black mothers to grieve nationwide. So yes, execute him. People, and I mean black brothers cannot just keep going out here killing one another, and then expecting to rely on, and upon the ails of racism to save them, when the arms of retribution face them. White people destroyed us as a whole culture. It would take a God to punish them justly. Tookie Williams destroyed thousands of youthful visions, opportunities, and lives, with false, and mislead doctrine. His sentence should be the same sentence he placed on and upon the 4 people he robbed, and killed. Just as he had no mercy on them, then so also should The State of California render the same sentence. Tell Tookie to pray, become born again, and take his own sentence he has place upon others countless times before in the past.
Tookie Williams should not be executed. Who the hell are we to say he should be executed! NOBODY SHOULD BE EXECUTED!!

The death penalty is absolutely disgusting and it stops me from travelling to; holidaying and even contemplating on living in the States.
You can have your country….the Government think they are greater than God!!

I for one do not feel like this man should
die. For one just like any other inmate he is still
claiming his innocence. Who knows if he did or
didn’t do what he was convicted for. The one thing that I do know is no matter which way you look at it the prosecutor in the case is a
snake, and a racist.
For one just look at it this way. The states witness were all people with criminal histories, even the foreign guy had a criminal history. Now that they are the states witness everything that they said to convict Williams is creditable. Now you let these same people be witness for Williams defense, then nothing that
they say would be able to be upheld in court because of their criminal background.
This is why I feel that the justice system
is totally unfair, especially to the black race.
For one you could be picked out of a line-up
through mistaken identity, charged with a crime, go through all kinds of hearings, receive
a very unaffordable bail, and then you are in a situation where you either plead guilty to something that you probably did not do, or you
take it to trial and fight to prove your innocence. Now the problem that lies ahead is there is a good chance that coming from a very poor neighborhood, a struggling family, and a very targeted area by the state, obtaining a lawyer that could possibly help you prove your innocence is far out of reach. So now you are forced to go with a state paid attorney, who doesn’t have the means to investigate your case
to the fullest. So you are faced with a very big dilemma. You either plead guilty and make a deal with the prosecutor, or you try to prove your innocence with a public pretender.
Now the big catch, which is something else that I totally disagree with is that if you know that you are totally innocent and you decide that you want your day in court to prove your innocence, they then decide to give you more time just for trying to prove your innocence. So it’s like if you fight a bully back
he will beat twice as bad as if you were to just
stand there and let him beat you. I thought it was the other way around. I mean if a person let a bully just do whatever to them then the bully will go as far as possible. I thought resistance do help out a little even if you did lose.
This is why I hate the justice system.
It is totally unfair no matter which way you look at it. Now I’m not gonna sit here and say that Williams is innocent, I’m just saying that the people that helped get him convicted would not have been able to get him exonerated.
So who knows where the truth lies.
Tookie deserves the death penalty. What he did was wrong, and not only what he did, but also what he led others to do. This man deserves to be executed but not by lethal injection, by something more like electricution!
