I suggested one of these to my mom, since it has “free” calls to Argentina, so she installed it. Turns out that you can only make 1 minute calls at a time, or something like that. If you buy credit then you can call longer to the free countries, but if you want free, as in free, you are limited to 1 minute.
Had to be a catch, huh?

why dont you bother to read what it says you get an amout of credit then it only allows you one min at a time until you pay an upfront charge of €10 +vat then you can call unlimiited for free.

ive downloaded and been using this program all day.my average phonecall has been 15 mins.
all calls in uk. aswell as the south of france no cut off on any call.
in the next 10 mins ill be calling new zealand !!!

how can you talk 15 mins for free? i try the voipbuster in portugal and are limited to 1 min….

I call from my PC to my homephone with VoipStunt. But the calling error after 9,67 minutes.
The sound has bad quality in the phone, but not in the headset.
VoipStunt is very like Voipbuster (limit 1 minute for free) BUT better
(Very mush better than Skype, in Skype is anything free

I’m a user of Skype for almost two years and are quite happy.
However my (little) experience with VOIPSTUNT is just above my imagination. The sound quality is superb, the handling is easy and intuitive, making free calls around the world is great and last not least I can be called like any other landline. Where is the catch? the ten Euro I paid to get the In-number can’t be the answer – just hope it lasts…

I used voipstunt for a week, made some calls when my free period was over I registered again a different name. It worked ok for a while then it started refusing my registration. Any ideas? drop me a mail if you have any suggestions pls.

My Wife used it for the first time to call her mother in Croatia from New Zealand .And you know what the sound quality is 5 times better than SKYPE. Its in fact Superb.
i have a prob.i installed voipbuster 2 months ago, when i start it, say “GIPS voice has been expired” and then, “reestart the program” yes or no? i put no, because when i put yes, say the same thing. and, when i call to argentina… the limit is of 10 SECONDS, its amazing. but, to spain, or other countries, 1 minute…..
FANTASTIC phoned Australia, Hungary, UK landlines, USA landlines and moblies for FREE it’s so good lots of my friends now uesing VOIPSTUNT. Looking in to getting a DECT/VOIP phone to get the best use out of it. I’m a bit confused about what is going happen to my 10 euros cos’ I keep makeing FREE calls ( I get cut off after 1 HOUR and simpely call the number and carrie on )

I’ve been using skype but I have to tell u guys that this rocks big time … its absolutely good !!! I paid that 10€ and now I am making calls for free … Very very good !! Recommended to everyone !!
And Kees above that each and every month u have to pay this 10€ if u want to make free calls but the good point is that u can spend that 10€ anytime u want to make other calls which are not included in the free call zones

I downloaded voipstunt. I paid the 10 euro credit and when I call within my city The comunication is Ok, but if I try other cities or countries, I can hear them, but they can´t hear me.
What can I do? Can I solve this?
My advice is stay away from Voipstunt. I opened two accounts both with 10 euros each and after 2 weeks both accounts were frozen. I emailed Voipstunt 20 times and no single reply from them.
They even charged me for countries that they advertised as free, Germany,UK,Swizerland.
I wish I never used Voipstunt cus they mislead their customers and they are thieves who take our money and then they make ur accounts unavailable. Those who recieve the msg you are not allowed to make this calls, they should know that this is how Voipstunt freezes their accounts. Nothing wrong with your settings, as I am sure u all know that, cus everything was fine until Voipstunt stepped in and froze our accounts. I opened two account for my family so they can call me from abroad to UK. It was fine for two weeks and they still have credits on those account, one has 3.50 euros the other 2 euros but they cannot make any more calls, free or those chargeable. They can recieve calls on their PC though.
Voipstunt are nothing but bunch of thieves who advertise something and they don’t keep their promise. They stated on their terms and condition that they have a right to close the account if not used fairly but they don’t state how much use is not a fairly use? My family made everyday calls up to a hour so I believe this is a fair use bearing in mind that for two weeks they spent about 6.50 euros and 8 euros on those chargeable destination.
I wish I could tell everyone that Voipstunt is nothing but another misleading website who decieve people and take our money without supplying us with a proper or as advertised service.

My opinion of voipstunt is, uhm, ambiguous…
I’ve been using it for 3 months now. I paid the 10euros, but have used it only for free calls. That’s what they advertised wasn’t it? I have a credit of 10 euros, and can use it for 6 months. All I need to call is a landline in Italy, so my credit hasn’t gone down in these 3 months. I have 1 to 3 one hour conversations with voipstunt for free everyday. This was until today. It just won’t make the calls anymore, doesn’t even try. I tried with another username, and it works, so it’s not the program that got bugged and needs to be reinstalled (though i did).
I tried calling an internet user, works fine. I tried calling a cellphone (costing 20 eurocents per minute) and this worked fine. Voipstunt just blocked my free calls. Now, I don’t care that they’re free, if they want to start charging me a cent per minute because I used up too much of my free time, that’s fine by me, but i don’t even get that possibility. I didn’t think i’d have to pay attention, it says “unlimited free phone calls…”
I’ve sent them an email, but i know i’ll never get an answer, so … pffff
I’d make another account and pay again, because 10 euros for three months of an average two hour conversation per night for 6 nights a week, that’s 10 euros for 144 hours of conversation, which is not bad at all. But what if i make a new account, and then i get blocked after a week? I didn’t get any warning that i might be “overusing” my free hours or anything, so i don’t know what went wrong …
Thats the whole problem here, u r not being warned and their “fair use” policy is not stating how much one can use so they don’t “overuse it”. I beleieve you are lucky to have it for full 3 month without ur account being frozen. Maybe the fact that you have called 1 country only. They froze my both account after total 23 hours use calling about 6 countries at different days. My average call for all those days that my account was active was 60 minutes per day.
I reported them to paypal and they told me that they will keep a record about this company and for every other user that complaints about voipstunt will be recorded and they will take action.

If you want to use your voips again. You have only two options:
1. Buy credits or
2. Download the software from this page http://www.aplusfreeware.com/categories/util/uninst.html
Just choose “Download” at the bottom by(685 kB). This program is freeware. Now you install Total Uninstall on your computer.The next step is to install your voip program through Total Uninstall exactly in the same folder where the voip had been installed before. When this is done you start Total Uninstall again so you can remove your voip program and reverse all changes to the previous state. Now it is enough to install your voip again and have a talk. Works for me very well.

well, i begun to use this programme since march almost two months and especially during the last two weeks +1 hour per day. i had an account of 7 euro’s before my account was blocked. so yesterday i continued with calling gsm numbers.

I am completely dissaponted with voip stunt. I have also deposited 10 pounds, and there is a gen error (8) “unable to make this call” I am unable to make any calls and voipstunt refuses to answer my mails and request for help. 10 pounds I will not recover… I am skype user for the last 1 year and am very sattsfied except for the sounds qlty sometimes. God will judge the responible people at voipstunt. Poeple who rip off inncocent people always get the the judgement sooner or later.

for those guys who receive “you are not allowed to make this call” this could be explain that the country you are in has banned VOIP as this have to do with the countries ministry of communication. Its political as if VOIP can be used, the telco will lose their business soon. I’ve tried in vietnam and i cant make calls unless i VPN to another country and i can make calls.

I use a very small, cheap IP-phone
(size of a mobile phone) which I just plug into my USB-port, so it works anywhere.

Voipbuster and Voipstunt are basically the same. They used to work OK for me but now the line gets cut all the time after 1-2 minutes. I did pay and my credit is EUR 6,43 but still cut-offs all the time. Support after sending e-mails? No response at all. My advise: pay a little more and stay with Skype!
Hello there..ppl….I have been using voipbuster for a year now on its free basis (1 min calls).
Lately i have discovered that the minute calls have changed to a certain amount of time and call number.So if someone talks for instance, for 1 hour or makes 5 calls then the free trial ends…(i am still talking on having a free account without paying any money and always calling at free rated countries).
I am calling Greece and i am using an academic line.Things were going great, the program worked fine and sound was perfect.Much better than Skype (PC2PC call). The story follows like this, after some minutes, my free trial ended and i re-registered with a different email,username and all. It worked and i reconnected immediately until my minutes finished again. This happened for another time and worked again.
When i tried to do it for the 4rth, voipbuster gives me this message “Registration error – 32″…..
Since that i have tried to change my IP address (didn’t work), clean my registry with many cleaners (didn’t work), used this Total Uninstall to clean and re-install as it is commented above but this did not work either, the problem persists.
So my guess is that it may have something to do with tha MAC address of my ethernet card. I ll try to use a different one and see wot happens.I believe that these voip progs snatch id of the ethernet card and log it for future blocking.
I am not entirely sure of the above but thats my theory.
The problem with logging free remains and i cannot free-call anymore. Any suggestions plz feel free to discuss….
This is a scam company, full of lies. First, they tell you that it’s free forever, then they’ll limit time to 4 months, now they start to charge for mobile phone calls which were promised to be free. The customer service is trash. They never reply your email and there’s no phone you can call. Think twice before you waste your money on this crappy company.

Well what’s the deal that voipstunt says at the bottom of the rates list that we can only make 300 minutes worth of calls per week. where the heck is the call minute counters of info that we erquire to know how long we’ve done in a week. i know there’s call accounts but arent they supposed to tell u from when the week starts to when it finishes and when can we start making free calls again?

It must be something in the computer, becuse if you have several computers in a network with the same external IP it orks to make 3 accounts for each computer. Wanted also to add that uninstalling and then installing again doesn’t help, even if you use a uninstall program that cleans out every file and registry entry that VoipStunt have made.
The program only connects to the server during registration, login, calling of coarse and to retrieve the banner.
I think they record my IP and block me to access new registration repeatly. That’s the reason for error 32. Time to give up voipdiscount, sigh……

I have been using VoipDiscount, but I haven’t paid any credit. I have only called the free destinations in trail mode. I dont know exactly what their trail mode is, but when it expires it says the following on their homepage: You have reached the maximum number of free trial calls (30).
So I think maybe you can only make 30 calls to free destinations in trail mode. I have also counted about 30 in the Call List, but I don’t know if busy calls would also be included. Could be the same trail mode, when you make a trail call through their homepage.
I have then made a new user finished trail calling and made another and finished the trail mode. But after that I also can’t make any new user, and I get the same error 32. And I don’t think you can make any new user in any other betamax voip software (only tried Poivy got error 32). I think you can only make 3 users on a computer.
I have with all my 3 users only made Directcalls (Phone to Phone), and if I try it now I get the trail-mode-expired message. But if I try with one of my users to make a PC to Phone call, I get no trail-mode-expired message and the call goes through. I don’t know if there are different trail modes for Directcalls and PC to Phone.
Does anyone know how marouane (the above msg-user) solved the error-32 problem. Did he use the Deep Freeze software from Faronics?
I would really appreciate it, if anyone would reply to this.
VOIPSTUNT 32 ERROR PROBLEM RESOLVED
They don’t block the IP, because after a reformatting of the harddrive or creating a virtual computer with “Microsoft Virtual PC” I am able to create 3 new accounts. The limit of 1 hour per call and 30 calls blocks the account.
I tried this Deep Freeze Software, but I ended up with a compiter that didn’t want to start and needed reformatting…
THE SOLUTION
The HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/VoipStunt/VoipStunt in the registry contains the iformation about VoipStunt, history and so on.
I tried to delete all history entries with usernames and set some parameters to 0, deleted all the files in C:\Documents and Settings\–User–\Application Data\Voipstunt and I was able to register 3 new accounts. I will check it out more exactly and send a detailed instruction.

I used internetcalls.com for over 5 months, and it was working fine, I’d top up my account and continue making free and non-free calls, until about two weeks ago, the service just stopped responding (the other party ended the call), even though I still have some credit left. Yesterday, I registered another Betamax service, webcalldirect.com, placed 10 euros, and today cannot use it already. Their services are simply unreliable for the long term. I guess I’ll have to revert back to using Skype.

I’ve been using voipcheap.com for the past many months. Everything goes good till they introduced another one justvoip.com.
I’ve refilled my account for Euro 10 in each of my voipcheap.com and justvoip.com accounts. I made only one call for about 3 minutes from justvoip.com
Now whenever I’m trying to make calls from my voipcheap.com and justvoip.com accounts, it shows ‘Call ended, the other party ended the call..’ kind of error always. So my 20 Euro has gone. I don’t know how to contact the betamax people. They don’t have a support forum too.
Can I proceed with my credit card provider to make a complaint on them? Any advice?
Or the voipsupplier of this betamax products, can you help me out to resolve this issue?

hi i m using voipcheap recently started getting error THE OTHER PARTY ENDED THE CALL DUE TO AN UNKNOWN ERROR.It worked fine for 3months.has any one come out with a solution to this frequent problem.
I´ve used voipcheap, then I became this ERROR 32…as you…i tried voipstunt, voipbuster (installed, the n I would have liked to register but…), every had the SAME error message…the problem is unsolved…perhaps when we wait one week…

say to one of your friends, who doesn´t use voip, to install voip (stunt/cheap/buster) and generate ON HIS PC so many username+password (write them on a paper and take with you to home), which you can, then you can use these existing usernames ON YOUR PC!

As someone said before that go to registry and he deleted the history and then to Document and Setting and deleted the history there. I did the same but little different.
I opened Registry went to search and typed (Voipstunt) Then searched and deleted any folder i found which to me were releated to any history of the program. Remember to delete all the folder not just the keys.
Then went to document and setting/ Username/ Applicancian Data/ Voipstunt
and deleted Voipstunt folder. Then restarted the PC and it allowed me to register. Without giving me error.

Error “THE OTHER PARTY ENDED THE CALL DUE TO AN UNKNOWN ERROR” means that your voip account has been disabled by this scam company,even if you have credit, avoid ALL BETAMAX products!!!!
i agree, Betamax has a very poor feedback system. and mostly the voice quality is third class, i am using BroadBand of 47 Mb/sec, but still the connection has a lot of noise and sometime lag. i encounter with error 33 as well, so i contacted Betamax many times but no answer from them, and from internet forums i found that everybody is complaining the same. it seems like they are avoiding any such question. more over sometimes from lowrateVoip i found the second party number engage, but if i call from Skype or my own mobile number is not engage. what its a trick for fooling the poor connection slots?

I have problem with JustVoip. After 3 months of use all of a suuden the moment I dial any number I get this message “the other party ended the call due to unknown error”. I sent message to Voip but no body responds. I gave my a/c name and pw to my friend even he got the same message. This means the problem is with my account and not with firewall or pc configuration. Ian says that if one pays 10€ with VAT one can then call unlimited for free. Well, that is not at all the case! One can call 300 minutes a week for free to certain destinations. In my case the destinations are the ones I use but, many times I don’t even reach the 300 minutes and they are charging me! Complaining is no use because they never, ever answer!!!!! This is cheating and taking advantage of people’s money! Moreover, if I use the speakerphones the other person doesn’t hear me, therefore I need to make a direct call, use my own phone and pay them 5 cents, even if the person I am calling is not there and terefore doesn’t answer the call!!!!!!!

Anyone knows what caused the Code27. When I call the other side only rings twice and the connection will be cut and the Code 27 shows.
This week I used exactly 209 minutes and they are charging me already. Why do they advertise themselves as giving us 300 minutes free for some destinations? I always use free destinations!!!!!!!
Well, even less than the 209 minutes because 25 minutes were used to call a mobile phone and therefore shouldn’t count towards the free 300 minutes! Has anyone else had this problem so far? I would call this stealing!

voipsutnt is just fucked up… they created like the ultimade anti-”crack” program, i only have one acc back and maybe I will try my sister pc but, they have do 2 things.
1. Put one fucking file on our Pc to error 32 apper
2. They block your IP on them webssite

1. Find a better program (by better I mean a program that we can crack)

I purchased Voip Stunt recently and purchased 10.00Euros worth of credit.Trouble is it works fine but after a day or so my connection to he internet is lost.There is some thing wrong with the download software.When I try to uninstall voip stunt ,it won’t let me do that.However then I have to use my RESTORE program to restore my computer to one day before I installed Voip Stunt.So after I run the restore program MY CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET IS RE-ESTABLISHES.Any comments from any other voip stunt users?

I am having the ‘General Error (CODE:33)’/ ‘the other party ended the call for unknown reason’ problem with VoipCheap since 02-01-08. I have purchased credit before using Visa many times without any problems. I did a top-up on 27-12-07 for €10.00 and paid €12.50 by Visa card, which includes the VAT @ 19% and handling fee €0.50. Therefore I can’t agree with your statement. However, I also suspect that the problem is relating to buying credit, ‘coz on my account page, next to my credit balance (currently €10.16), ‘buy credit’ option/link disappeared so I can’t buy credit further if I wanted to. From what I read from other Betamax users and from my own experience it is impossible to get a reply from Betamax. Can you tell me where and how did you get your information on this? Do you know someone who can help?

In contrary to the 300 free minutes they advertised, i got charged after only 30 minutes of usage. Obviously this is a scam!
After almost a year using them everything was as advertised but since 2008 they start cutting my free minutes to around a 50min per month. Worst thing is that there is no support no one to contact or get an answer from. Seems they just don’t care for the customers at least the regular ones. A shame.

I got stuck too.. it seems that if you have one account with betamax product and open a second account with the same email id or credit card or paypal , it block both the accounts and cheats you out of the money.

I have been using Voipbuster for 2 years. I have 4 EURO left on my account and I can see it in VB program. Since 2 days ago I have been getting message in Voipbuster when I tried to make call “Call ended (Sorry, you are not allowed to make this call)” but interestingly I can call my friends free who are online. I Tried everything possible (change IP, change ADSL modem) and in the end I broke brutally into my neighbor’s internet just for testing purposes to check if it works with his ISP and answer is yes. He has Alice ADSL (Telcom Italia) and I successfully called a number from Voipbuster. Tiscali Italia has blocked my VOIP. I’m using the same PC and I can’t call over Tiscali but can call over Alice.
Is there anything I can do about it? Can I call my ISP and tell them that certain ports are blocked? If yes, which port number is blocked?
I think they are not allowed to do it by European law.
you are right! I get “Sorry, you are not allowed to make this call” when I call over my Tiscali adsl (but it works over Alice!).

i’ve read every single one of the comments posted here and it’s starting to scare me. i’ve only registered an account this afternoon and made 2 free landline calls. the first one, the person i called hung up cos they couldn’t hear me, but i could here them, but i think that was due to my connection (had this problem before using VoipStunt). The second call i made worked perfectly. we only talked for around 2mins then we hung up cos i was afraid that there’d be hidden charges and would get charged in the ph bill. does anyone know if it’ll charge me to call to free landlines? cos my parents would kill me if it does.. also, would it show in my ph bills that i’ve called?
