Feel how they Look

Annie just came home from shopping with Stella and showed me her new shoes. After a minute she ran off and said “I need to put them on so I can feel how they look”.

I corrected her and told her that the term was actually “See how they Feel”. Which when thinking about it, isn’t that much more logical.

Mia has been working on her Germglish. The other day she wanted me to draw a Butterling… there is a constant flow of good stuff, I should record it all.

The Leaky Tap Wiki Returns

Aaron’s Leaky Tap Wiki [LeakyTap]

After over 2 years of being down, the Leaky Tap wiki is back up and running. This wiki is a scratch board for information that interests me, and stuff that ideas that I want to continue developing over time.

This is in contrast with this blog which is WORM (write once, read many), wikis tend to take on a life of their own.

The most popular page on the wiki has always been my Custom Keyword directory, which is the largest of its typ on the internet.

Enjoy

Civet Poo and Happy New Year to You!

Oddly Enough News Article | Reuters.com

And as fate would have it, I present the first blog entry of 2006…

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Would you pay $175 for a pound of coffee beans which had passed through the backside of a furry mammal in Indonesia?

Apparently, some coffee lovers wanting to treat themselves to something special are lapping it up.

Kopi Luwak beans from Indonesia are rare and expensive, thanks to a unique taste and aroma enhanced by the digestive system of palm civets, nocturnal tree-climbing creatures about the size of a large house cat.

“People like coffee. And when they want to treat themselves, they order the Kopi Luwak,” said Isaac Jones, director of sales for Tastes of The World, an online supplier of gourmet coffee, tea and cocoa.

Despite being carnivorous, civets eat ripe coffee cherries for treats. The coffee beans, which are found inside of the cherries, remain intact after passing through the animal.

Of course thanks to The Straight Dope, I already knew that. This article gives more “insight”.
